LEGOLAND Florida Resort is looking for a Hotel –  Public Area Attendant to join the LEGOLAND Florida Resort Team.

About the Role:

Public Area is responsible for ensuring the highest level of overall cleaning services throughout the public areas in the Hotel in accordance with company policies and procedures. Create memorable Experiences by maintaining consistent high standards of service to guests and employees.  Responsible for the proper utilization of cleaning chemicals and cleaning equipment.  Assist with routine and special cleaning needs of the Hotel in a timely and efficient manner.

Scope & Responsibilities:

The Public Area Attendant keeps the Lobby and all Public Facilities (such as lobby restrooms, restaurant floor, the front desk, back of the house hallways and restrooms, the Front Desk and offices, etc.) in a neat and clean condition. The Housekeeping Attendant – Public Area promotes a positive image of the property to guests as well as addresses guest requests and problems in a professional, guest focused, and timely manner.

Physical Demands:

Finger dexterity sufficient to complete paperwork activities.

Visual acuity sufficient to read written materials, to complete paperwork activities Hearing sufficient to communicate with individuals in person and by telephone.

Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and/or ramps.  Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.

Work Environment:

Various inside and outside locations with varying temperatures and floor surfaces.

Other Requirements:

Must be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings,  and weekends to support Resort operations.

General knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their safety preferred.

Must be able to spend the majority of the shift walking, twisting, bending, pushing and pulling.

Job involves working:

  • Under variable temperature conditions
  • Under variable noise levels.
  • Around fumes and/or odor hazards.
  • Around dust and/or mite hazards.
  • Around chemicals.
  • Around bio-hazards.

About You:

Background and Experience:

  • Requires at least 1 year of Hotel experience in housekeeping operations.
  • Strong guest services skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions, detail-oriented, professional attitude is required.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Exhibits patience, flexibility, and the ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities.


  • High School graduate or its equivalent highly desirable.
  • Previous experience as a Public Area Attendant highly desirable.
  • Training in environmental control, floor care, and operation of laundry equipment practices and procedures highly desirable.
