Machine Operator 2/Break-PET (19-121)

Rate: $15.05 to $16.73 Shift: NIGHTS 6PM – 6AM Days per Week: 4-7

Academic Qualifications Required

High school diploma or GED preferred. Must be able to read, write & speak English and perform basic math. Must be able to follow written instructions including operator instructions, safety information, SOP’s, and SSOP’s. Must be able to pass FNG’s Basic Skills Assessment for this position. MSSC-CPT, CQIA, or Lean Bronze certification preferred. Must be able to pass the Mechanical Aptitude test with a minimum of 70%. Must pass the Forklift Operator Basic Skills Assessment Class B.

Experience Required

Machine operation experience preferred. Manufacturing or packaging operation experience preferred. Forklift operation experience preferred. Must be able work as a member of a team and be willing to cross train in other areas as needed.


Must be able to lift 40 pounds repeatedly to supply materials to machinery. Must be able to learn and use RFX coding equipment accurately. Must be able to give breaks for, Depalletizer, Labelers, Caser and Stacker as needed. Maintain communication with blending. Must be able to communicate with own team members, team members of other departments and management to effectively convey production related information. The successful candidate will normally operate the equipment stated above as a Break person on Line 10, 21, and 22. Will also fill in for absence at the other positions noted above.

Essential Job Functions

Give breaks for Lines 10,21,22 Operators. Perform daily and weekly clean up of manufacturing equipment. Perform general housekeeping duties and maintain the work environment to meet GMP/Sanitation standards. Accurately complete process documentation in a timely manner. Maintain a neat and organized work area. Assist operators with problem solving and adjustments. Assist operators with product changeovers. Work as a team to maintain flow of production through the line. Show continuous effort to maximize line production. Assist in any area of the Business Unit as needed. Ensure RFX reliability in production related packaging material. Regular attendance required. Must interact cordially with co-workers.
