This role is primarily responsible for developing and maintaining the Bartow facilities and equipment in top condition to facilitate maximum production capability while supporting leadership in the accomplishment of the plant’s safety mission and objectives. Must have a passion for continuous improvement of facilities, equipment and safety.
This position will work directly with multiple departments within the site, such as production, fabrication, project managers and quality assurance.
This position reports to the Plant Manager of the Bartow facility.
Ensure that plant, property and equipment are fully operational and inspected in accordance with preventive maintenance schedules.
Develop and maintain preventive maintenance and TPM programs that minimizes operational down time.
Maintain detailed equipment inspection reports to be readily available to management upon request.
Review and schedule maintenance crews to provide services for all shifts, work procedures and duty assignments.
Review operations and confer with technical or administrative staff to resolve production or processing issues.
Coordinate and recommend procedures for facility and equipment maintenance or modification, including the replacement of machines.
Oversee and manage capital and special projects.
Ensure necessary maintenance supply items are immediately available.
Select, develop and motivate employees ensuring fair and consistent treatment within applicable laws, policies and EEO guidelines to maintain continuity of competent work force. Place employees based on their qualifications for the work to be performed.

Work with outside contractors to obtain bids and explain requirements for work to be performed within the plant; conduct final inspection of that work.

Required Qualifications of Every Candidate (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):
Preferred Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years relevant experience or Associate’s degree with 8+ years of experience or 10+ years of relevant quality experience
Ability to travel if requested
Ability to read and interpret blue prints
Organized and detail oriented
Ability to work effectively with all levels of staff (shop or senior management)
Strong, effective and thoughtful communicator
Ability to constructively coach staff/teams and course correct
Computer literate (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, IFS)
Responsible for supervision of Maintenance Supervisor and Technicians.
