Currently seeking a CNC Machinist for local busy shop and growing company:

CNC Okuma Lathe Programmer and Operator

Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
Programs lathes by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs.
Sets-up lathes by installing and adjusting three- and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collects, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers; indicating vices; tramming heads.
Loads feed mechanism by lifting stock into position.
Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces; adhering to international standards.
Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
Compensation varies based on skills and experience

Experience operating Okuma CNC Lathe machine is a plus!

CNC Machinist is capable of setting up, programming and operating CNC Machine Tools. Programming may be performed “on-line” (at the machine) or “off-line” (using CAM software). Knowledge of blue prints, metrology and geometrical, dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) are basic requirements for this position.

Organizes department in which work is to be performed.
Maintains a neat and orderly work environment.
Selects proper tooling and fixtures required to manufacture product.
Programs CNC machine tool to produce desired results as directed by the Job Traveler and Engineering Blue Print.
Sets up machine with the tooling and fixtures for operation.
Verifies program against designed/planned results.
Measures efficiency against planned arrangements on Job Traveler.
Maintains inspection records as directed by Quality.
Completes/initiates reject identification in the event of a nonconforming product.
Reports to Production Manager.
Performs any necessary task as requested/directed by supervisor or management.
Maintains compliance with the Quality Managements System and ISO standards.
Computer, math, programming and setup skills required.
On the job training or vocational sufficient.
