Job Title: Warehouse Lead(hourly)
Responsible for assisting the department supervisor in overseeing and motivating the work of other hourly employees in order to maintain and exceed the established standards. Models company brand standards as an extenstion of the leadership team.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Must be able to work well with others, be organized, have an positive attitude, and be strong in communication and coaching skills.
  • Actively promote and train assigned employees to satisfy job requirements under the guidance of their respective supervisors.
  • Possesses the ability to apply sound judgement and leadership skills in a fast paced and diverse environment.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail.
  • Certification for powered material handling equipment required.
  • Working knowledge of WMI=Warehouse Management Systems and RF units.
  • Responsible for insuring all work rules, safety regulations, housekeeping, productivity and quality standards are being met while meeting all production demands.
  • Provide leadership by setting the example, exercising sound judgement and motivating employees.
  • Delegating assignments.
  • Direct involment in progressive training/coaching of existing procedures.
  • Continually seek areas of improvement opportunities.
  • Accountable for processes within their control.
  • Conduct start of shift meeting, under direction of supervision.
  • Abide by and advise supervisor of employee deviation from the SGWS guidelines as set in the Employee Handbook.
  • Responsible for collecting and documenting breakage on a daily basis.
  • Lead any projects or additional dutties as assigned.
Required Skills:
  • High School Diploma/GED Equivalent and/or 2-3 years warehouse experience in a distribution environment.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally and on a repetitive basis and kneel, bend, twist, reaching/over-head to accomplish task.
  • Capable of working required scheduled coupled with required overtime as needed especially during peak periods especially October, November, and December (OND).
  • Ability to read, speak, write, and comprehend the English language and is able to perform essential job duties and all other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualification:
  • Familiar with warehouse management systems for tracking case volume and product placement within warehouse facility.
  • Shipping/Receiving, general warehouse, and packaging skills.
  • Previous distribution center experience working with “pick to voice system” picking method.
  • Forklift operating, hand trucks, pallet jack, reach truck, order-pickers, forklifts, turret truck, hoists (battery change stations), experience or certification.
